Dialup IP Network Configuration for Windows Vista

This document outlines a step by step process for setting up and establishing a dialup IP connection to the CompuXellence. This service allows computers to connect into the Internet from remote locations over standard telephone lines using Microsoft Windows Vista and a standard high speed modem.

Modem Setup in Windows Vista

Configuring Dialup Networking
    Press Start

2. Right click on Network and click Properties and it will bring up the Network and Sharing Center

3. Now click on Set up a connection or a network link on the left side



4. Choose Set up a dial-up connection and press Next


5. Enter the following information:

Enter our Dial-up phone numbers closest near you

Enter your Username:

Enter your Password:

Check Remember this Password box

Enter Connection Name: Compuxellence Dial Up

Finally press Connect

6. Press Skip Immediately


7. Once here click Set up connection anyway and press Next


8. Then click Close


9. To make a shortcut on the desktop. go back in Network and Sharing center, Press Manage Network Connections and the Network Connections window opens up
 

10. Right click on Compuxellence Dial Up and click Create Shortcut
 

11. You’ll get a warning box, just press Yes
 

12. Go back on your desktop and double click on Compuxellence Dial Up - Shortcut to open up the connection tool
 

13. Press Dial and enjoy your dial up connection!
